This open world survival game forces players to think on their feet as they build a colony and evade dangerous opponents. Survivalcraft 2 is similar to other games in this genre, but it focuses on deadly opponents and spooky locations. Once your avatar lands on the generated island, you will have to come up with ingenious ways to protect yourself from everything that the world can throw at you. This is a great game for those who aren’t interested in older sandbox titles that have become repetitive or bland.

Survivalcraft 2 can’t be played online, but there is an option to play with three separate people on the same screen. You begin each game with a few simple tools and some clothing that won’t offer very much protection. From there, you must harvest different resources from all of the items and landscape features around you. As the game progresses, you can focus on any number of survival tactics. One player might want to create a solid suit of armor and powerful weapons while another focuses on building an impenetrable fortress.

The creators of Survivalcraft 2 originally made this game for mobile devices, but it has recently been ported over to Windows 10. When the world grows, this game will eat up quite a bit of your RAM, and that is one of the reasons why it is such a great option for PCs and laptops instead of mobile devices. Multiple players may still experience some lag if they are all manipulating resources at the same time, but the game is perfectly optimized for newer systems.

Survivalcraft 2 also has a custom landscape generator, and that drastically improves replayability. Before your game starts, you can skim through the settings to determine resource density, lighting, colors, and what types of enemies you will be fighting. Those who would like a traditional sandbox experience can turn the enemies off or alter their difficulty. This game has no distinct endpoint, but it will continue to get harder as time goes on. The primary goal of the game is to survive for as long as possible while exploring the island.

When it comes to survival sandbox titles, Survivalcraft 2 stands out from the competition. The multiplayer settings, customizable islands, and bright colors make it the perfect option for players of all ages. The biggest downfall of this title is the fact that multiple players can’t play remotely, but the game still has plenty to offer.
